The Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission

The Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission is a regional planning and economic development agency which coordinates federal, state and local resources to encourage development in 12 southern Ohio counties: Adams, Brown, Clermont, Fayette, Gallia, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Pike, Ross, Scioto and Vinton.


Governor’s Regional Economic Development Office – Region 7

The ten county area serviced by this office offers affordable industrial property and a quality workforce. These attributes are a couple of reasons why companies such as Glatfelter Paper Company, Kenworth Trucking Company, General Mills, and Ohio Basic Minerals are located in this region.


Pike County Community Action – Business Development Department

The Business Development Program offered via the Community Action Committee of Pike County can guide individuals in Pike, Jackson, Ross, and Scioto counties of Ohio, through one-on-one counseling or a classroom atmosphere in exploring and developing the opportunity to own, operate, expand, or purchase a small business as means of employment and to increase or supplement income.


The Ohio State University South Centers – Small Business Development Center

The Small Business Development Center provides one-on-one confidential consulting and workshops on relevant topics for businesses and people looking to start a business.


Ohio University's Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs

The Voinovich School is comprised of faculty and professional staff members who work in multidisciplinary project groups with students and faculty from various departments and colleges across Ohio University. These groups work with business, non-profit, and government partners on applied research and other projects that help solve problems and meet the needs of Appalachian Ohio and the state.


Southern Ohio Procurement Outreach Center

The Southern Ohio Procurement Outreach Center (SOPOC) is a Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC). The mission of the PTAC program is to provide assistance to small businesses desiring to enter local, state and federal government markets, as a means to support economic development, and to foster the retention and creation of jobs.


Ohio Valley Resource Conservation and Development

Located in South-central Ohio, the Ohio Valley Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Council area includes Adams, Brown, Gallia, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Pike, Ross, Scioto, and Vinton Counties.


Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce

The Jackson Area Chamber Of Commerce has been a leader in the Jackson business area since it was formed on July 3, 1911, and has enjoyed great success in the last decade.


Wellston Area Chamber of Commerce

The Wellston Chamber Of Commerce has served the Wellston community faithfully for a number of decades. The chamber holds monthly meetings the second Wednesday of every month at 8 a.m. at the Wellston City Building.


Oak Hill Area Chamber of Commerce

The Oak Hill Area Chamber of Commerce is a volunteer, non-profit 501 (c)(6) organization. The Chamber's mission is to support economic and community development through the united efforts of business and local citizens pursuing a common goal to promote the Oak Hill area as a great place to live.

Utilizing our vast knowledge of community resources and networking capabilities, Jackson-Vinton Community Action, Inc. provides a wide range of quality services in a fair, equitable and compassionate manner.


Ohio Department of Job & Family Services – Jackson County 1 Stop

To help Ohio’s families find solutions to their temporary challenges, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services - Jackson County 1 Stop offers a wide range of assistance. This includes unemployment compensation, health care, cash assistance, food assistance, child care, child support enforcement and administration, and employment and training assistance.
